Pinkelmeyer TM and Moopus McGlinden TM Join North Shore Autism Circle and Funky Monkey to Help Raise Funds for Kids with Autism!
Greenvale, NY (November 28, 2010) -- On Tuesday, November 30 th , Mrs. Pinkelmeyer, Silliest, Warmest, Know-It-All™ and her lovable dog, Moopus McGlinden™, are coming from Poppingham, England to Long Island to help North Shore Autism Circle and Funky Monkey raise funds for kids with Autism. North Shore Autism Circle is a non-profit organization that was created to provide the funding to develop after school and weekend programs for Autistic and Spectrum disorder children who live on the North Shore of Long Island.
Funky Monkey owner, Stanley Greenman, has generously offered a 20% discount on all items sold on November 30 th and, in addition, will donate 10% of the day's proceeds to North Shore Autism Circle . Sneakerology, The Annex Shoppe and Tutti Bambini will also donate a portion of their proceeds to North Shore Autism Circle as follows:
Sneakerology will give 20% off on selected items and donate 10% of its net sales
The Annex Shoppe will offer 10% off storewide and will donate 10% of its net sales
Tutti Bambini will offer 10% off on all items excluding sale items and will donate 10% of their net sales
“We are so thrilled that Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus are teaming up with Funky Monkey to support the North Shore Autism Circle ,” said Amy Greenberg, president, North Shore Autism Circle . “The funds raised help support existing recreational, socialization and peer mentoring programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We also provide scholarships to families in the community that need financial assistance in sending their children to these programs. “
From 10am to 11:00am , Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus will be at the Funky Monkey Toy Store, located at 360 Wheatley Plaza in Greenvale , NY . Children, along with their parents and grandparents, are invited to see Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and participate in several wonderful activities, such as:
Listening to and singing songs from the Pinkelmeyer CD, including the hit “Mrs. Pinkelmeyer Makes You Happy.”
Hearing a story read from the first book in the series, Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus McGlinden Burn the Rrrrump Rrrroast , that will be read out loud for everyone there by Jennifer Kelman, author and creator of the Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus McGlinden characters
